Stiff hips, tender pubic bone, sore pelvic joints, tight rib? Painful walking and dreading getting moving in the morning? Hardly the pregnancy we dream of, right?
Too many people are told that pain in pregnancy is “normal” and made to feel they “just have to get on with it”. This is not true. Pain is common, but not normal. And, there is plenty that can be done during pregnancy, and after, to help.
My own pregnancy, and mothering my young son has further fuelled my love of providing care and support to those on their own pregnancy and motherhood journey. I have had Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP), but am now back to running 5km and able to embrace the full-on role of being a Mum.
I have done extensive further training in pregnancy care, pelvic floor health, returning to fitness after birth and Pelvic Girdle Pain. I’m pleased to be a recommended practitioner with the Pelvic Partnership, and have written a guide of recover strategies for PGP. You download “Pain-Free Progress” ; 6 Proven Recovery Strategies for Pelvic Girdle Pain below, for free.
