PRIVACY POLICY

I, Nadine Cheli, am fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulations issued in May 2018. Your privacy is of great importance and your confidentiality will always be respected.  I am registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). 

When you request a consultation and / or treatment, my agreement to this request constitutes a “contract”. You will be asked to supply necessary personal information about yourself, known as “data” which will be appropriately stored and processed. Data includes information such as your gender, age, previous medical history. This data is required in order to deliver safe and effective healthcare to you. You may refuse to offer up this data but it may render me unable to provide care.

I may also use your data to make reasonable contact with you to provide information pertaining to the operation of the clinic and your care. This is known as “legitimate interest” and examples include; sending you exercises, sending you an appointment reminder, contacting you to review your progress. 

Your personal data is stored on an online health record platform. It is password protected, as is the computer used to access your health records. Your data is only accessible to me and administrative staff who help coordinate your care. It may be shared with third parties that are related to your care, such as you GP, and this will be discussed with beforehand. 

You may request access to your data at any time, as can a third party, such as an insurer, with your permission. You will need to confirm your identity before releasing data, and all data will provided within 30 days. Releasing data to an individual is free of charge, a reasonable fee will be asked of third parties. 

Your data will not be used for marketing purposes without your express consent. 

Finally, I have a legal obligation to hold your data for 8 years, or until the age of 25 if you were under the age of 18 when you first consulted me.
